Anatomy laboratory

The Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre has held a NSW Department of Health Anatomy Licence since 2005.

We are fully equipped to run anatomical training and surgical courses and are experienced in the coordination and delivery of superior workshops.

The experience gained through the use of human tissue is irreplaceable and the fresh frozen specimens sourced by the SCSSC are of the highest quality and screened for pathogens. This permits the medical community to gain valuable experience in surgical techniques in a modern skills training laboratory.

We provide:

The highest standards of ethical conduct

We operate within all requirements as per the NSW Anatomy Act 1977 and Human Tissue and Anatomy Legislation Amendment Act 2003. The specimens are treated with respect at all times and are housed in a secure environment.

Superior tissue quality

Fresh frozen specimens are ordered from a reliable source and prepared to your precise requirements. Medical screening and serology results are provided for each specimen to improve safety.

Professional and expert service

We have developed a strong reputation for quality service by providing comprehensive course coordination with attention to detail. You will be assisted by professional and friendly staff who are committed to the success of your course.

A complete training and education facility

Your course will benefit from the use of our state of the art AV facilities, which can provide feed in and out of the lab, to other rooms or across the world.
