The Clinical Skills Division is part of the Sydney Medical School, Northern. The primary role of the Clinical Skills Division is to provide quality Clinical Skills teaching to students enrolled in the Sydney Medical School’s Graduate Medical Program.
Students are taught a structured program of Clinical Skills, ranging from taking patient observations to Advanced Life Support and Invasive procedures as they progress through the program. Clinical Skills are generally taught in a synthetic environment.
Clinical Skills sessions are generally taught in small groups of 5-7 students allowing for full participation and interaction with tutors. The faculty is drawn from Medical, Nursing & Allied Health professionals from within Royal North Shore Hospital.
The Centre has excellent teaching facilities within the purpose built Kolling Building. Students are encouraged to visit the Centre and practice their newly acquired skills in any of the five Clinical Skills Training Rooms which are equipped with the latest training equipment.
