Learning methods employed at the SCSSC

A variety of learning methods are used in synthetic learning environments. Some of the methods employed at the SCSSC are described below.

With the exception of seminars, all training:

• is based on adult learning methods
• enables hands-on practice, discussion and feedback
• is delivered to small groups with small learner to instructor ratios
• uses activities that draw on real-world experience
• is facilitated by appropriately qualified instructors
